I distinctly remember wondering to myself how odd it was that Argentina was a nuclear power. Where i got such impression i have no idea because there is no longer, in so far as i can see on the net, any reference to it being the case. i believe the situation was such that the missing argentinian submarine San Juan had nuclear capabilities and represented an emergency of international concern; one nation could get hit out of the blue as a false flag, provoking war with USA or Russia or any super power country.

because of the disappearance of San Juan, i feel the response to a nuclear threat is very well coordinated and could threaten the power of any standing government even on the suspicion of a nuclear event.

another "I told you so", this time about our TTC, we use old trains going east/west in Toronto because when we eventually got upgraded subway trains it was found they don't actually fit in some parts of line 2 going east/west. An excess of cars have sat idle at the yard by Wilson station ever since they were first recieved. Despite having an excess number of subway trains already available, we ordered more from Bombardier in the middle of the covid pandemic for the new Scarborough extension which is another debacle that serves undeveloped condo projects more than the taxpayers already living in the city paying for the system.
